Beat the Geeks

Introduction

This is one of the best new game shows out there. I am going to attempt to document everything I can about this show. Who the geeks are. How many times they lost. EVERYTHING! I'm going to be the Beat the Geeks geek. I have searched long and hard over the web, and I truly believe that I have the only fan page dedicated to this show.

How the Game Works

First Round

The game begins with three contestants. They are asked four questions worth five points each of fairly easy difficulty. There is one question each for music, movies, tv, and the other question is based on the special guest geeks, area of expertise. Then the process is repeated, except now the questions are worth ten points each. The person with the fewest points after the eight questions is eliminated from the game. Should there be a tie, it is decided by one final question where the contestant jots down a numerical answer to a question. The person who comes closest without going over, stays in the game.

Challenge Round 1

The two remaining contestants now get to challenge the "geeks". The contestant with the highest score goes first. If both contestants are tied, than there is a question to see who gets to go first. This contestant can now challenge any of the four geeks. It will either be the music geek, the tv geek, the movie geek, or the special guest geek. If the contestant wins the challenge, they receive 20 points, 30 if they beet the special guest geek. The host asks the contestant a question relevant to the geeks area of knowledge. The questions range from easy to moderate difficulty. If the contestant gets the question wrong, the challenge ends there and the geek keeps his medal, and the other contestant gets to challenge. If the contestant gets it right, than the geek is asked a fairly difficult question, which most of your average joe's won't know the answer to. If the geek is right, than the process will repeat itself one more time. If the geek is wrong, than he loses his medal, and it is given to the contestant. If both the contestant and geek get their 2 questions right, that there is a geek off. Both will be asked to name off things as fast as they can relevant to what they've been asked to name. For example, a contestant might be asked to name Simpsons charachters, then they would go: Bart, Homer, Lisa, Krusty, etc. Whoever names the most wins the challenge. If there is a tie, the contestant wins by default. After all this, the other contestant gets to challenge a geek, although they may not challenge a geek that has been beaten. I should also mention that if a contestant misses a question, their opponent may get ten points by answering it correctly.

Challenge Round 2

Same as previous round except that the challenger that is behind goes first this time, and beating a geak is worth 40 except for the special guest geek, which is now worth 50 points.

Geek-Qualizer

This part of the game gives even the lowliest contestant hopes as a contestant can score up to 150 points. A contestant is given a name of something, and they have to decide whether it belongs to movies, music, or tv. They are given 2 seconds for each one. The contestant that has the fewest points goes first. Whoever has the most points after this round wins the right to be humiliat...er challlenge the geek to a showdown for a prize package worth \$5000. A tie is decided as it is in the 1st round.

Final Round
Almost there. This ones pretty simple actually. The contestant chooses a geek to challenge, and then they have a showdown in the geeks area of expertise. The contestant goes first and chooses a 1,2, or 3 point question. One being easiest, three hardest. If the question is answered correctly, than the contestant gets the point value of the question asked. The geek than gets ti try a question, but it must be of equal or greater value to what the contestant chooses. This process continues until someone gets 7 points. This is probably the hardest bonus round in the history of game shows. The geeks RARELY lose. Maybe if they don't give out the prize money, they can make more episodes, ha ha ha.
